Preserving the land that sustains wildlife.
Our Wilderness Conservation Initiative protects and restores the Appalachian corridor by preserving wild lands and the ecosystems that depend on them. Each project supports biodiversity, strengthens communities, and honors regional heritage.
Adventure with impact.
Our signature volunteer adventure club brings hikers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts together to turn exploration into action. The Overland Order is an Initiative dedicated to restoring trails, waterways, and public parks in the Appalachian corridor.
The future of environmental stewardship.
Our Little Sprouts Initiative connects the next generation of explorers with nature while building curiosity, confidence, and respect for the wild. Through school programs and community days, children learn wildlife identification, trail safety, and Appalachian history.
Fighting hunger through the land and its bounty.
In an effort to combat food insecurity, our team is working to create an Appalachian Food Trail across conserved lands. Native orchards and edible landscapes are being planted to help communities along the AT thrive, and celebrate a rich regional history of agriculture.
Creating gateways to adventure and environmental learning.
Our Wild Roots Nature Centers will be home to conservation, wildlife education, and trail adventures. Each center will host workshops, scout programs, and accessible trails that celebrate the natural and cultural heritage of states along the Appalachian Trail.
